About My Folding

At 7 years old I received an origami kit as a birthday gift from my uncle and I've been folding ever since. One thing led to the next and I joined OrigamiUSA, folding complex models in monthly classes, attending their yearly conventions, and eventually teaching classes myself.

In 2015 I joined The Origami Therapy Association working with a variety of populations using origami as an art therapy.

I took up photography in my Junior year of high-school. I used my origami as the subject of the concentration portion of my AP Studio art portfolio, and discovered a whole new way of seeing my models.

At the same time I developed a research study on the effects of origami art therapy on children with ADHD.

I've been seen folding anything I get my hands on from gum wrappers to toilet paper (but admittedly, not my clothes)!
